DWI: Case Dismissed
After being charged with DWI and crossing the lane divider line, we filed a Motion to Suppress (the vehicle stop) and Dismiss for lack of evidence. Post-hearing, the court agreed that the State of Missouri had not “met their burden” on our motion, and therefore granted our Motion to Suppress the vehicle stop. The State of Missouri then dismissed the entire case.
Marijuana Possession: Case Dismissed
After being stopped for running a stop sign, arrested, and then charged with possession of marijuana found in our client’s car, we secured the video and audio of the incident in question. After comparing the video and audio with the police report, we were able to point out numerous inconsistencies as well as other issues to the prosecutor who dismissed all charges.
Felony Bad Check Case: Case Dismissed
We were hired to defend a felony bad check case, with potential incarceration and thousands of potential dollars in restitution at stake. After comparing the records provided by the state, and providing “our purported evidence” to them, we were able to convince the prosecutor that all things taken together proved that reasonable doubt existed. The prosecutor agreed with our position and at Preliminary Hearing dismissed the case for lack of probable cause, with no restitution paid nor owed by our client.
Misdemeanor Crime: Case Dismissed
Our client was charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly misusing the “911 system” after making repeated telephone calls to the 911 Call Center. After we obtained and reviewed the relevant 911 records/audio, we were able to convince the prosecutor that our client did not in fact violate the ordinance in question. The prosecutor agreed and dismissed the case.
